Flowers WOW Lab

Chrysanthemum, carnation, gerbera, lily and sunflower: cut flowers for those who sell on impact. Firm stem, large flower, saturated color, even flowering, resistance to wind and rain and vase days, with your batch's climate entering the calculation from day one.

The “WOW effect” here is a result measured against control plants, not a catalog promise. And on this page we also tell you, plainly, what we cannot promise.

What it is

What WOW Flowers Lab is and who it is for

WOW Flowers is Yolia's laboratory for cut flowers of five commercial species. When you choose it, the engine changes its priorities: it raises flowering, pigments, structural calcium, aroma and silicon, and keeps defense mild so as not to spend energy where it is not needed.

What you receive is a process: diagnosis, strategy by phases, a formula made with preparations that you make yourself (ferments, infusions and teas from common ingredients), a logbook with control plants, harvest window notice and recalibrations when the evidence justifies it. You do not receive a bottled product.

It's for you if…

You sell cut flowers and your selling point is the stem, the size, the color or the vase life.
Your lot suffers wind, rain or heat and you want an evidence-based plan before applying anything.
You need flowering to come out even so you can cut by sectors or by order.
You have batches of 150 to 2,000 plants or more and want tracking by sector.
You can prepare ferments and infusions and keep a logbook with photos.

It's not for you if…

You want a ready-to-apply product, with nothing to prepare: Yolia delivers a process, not a container.
You need a guarantee of color, size or vase days: we do not give one.
Your main problem is one of management (light, photoperiod, drainage, temperature, cold chain): the formula does not correct it.
You expect Yolia to measure the flower for you: it does not analyze photos for that.
You want to replace sanitary management or a laboratory analysis.
Ciencia explicada fácil

What happens inside a cut flower, and where Yolia can help

A cut flower is a plant grown so that all its effort ends in a single organ: the flower. For that it needs energy (sugars from photosynthesis), well-distributed minerals and a stem that holds the weight. When any of the three is missing, what hurts most in the market appears: bent stems, small flowers, pale color or uneven flowering.

The stem is held up by firm cell walls. Calcium takes part in that structure and silicon of plant origin helps tissues withstand wind, weight and handling. That is why the engine rewards calcium and silicon together: they reinforce each other. Even so, the maximum length and thickness are set by the variety and largely by light and temperature management.

The color of a flower is produced by pigments that the plant makes with energy and minerals, and which degrade with excessive heat and radiation. Even flowering depends on all the plants in the batch receiving the same conditions: that is why Yolia works with sectors and control plants, not with an average that hides differences.

What comes already decided

The species and variety: base color, shape, maximum size and possible stem length.
The photoperiod and temperature each species needs to flower on time.
The vase life that the variety's genetics allow.
Si la flor es sensible al etileno o no.

What Yolia can modulate

The support of energy and minerals during bud filling.
The firmness of stem tissues (calcium and silicon).
The plant's recovery after wind, rain or heat.
Synchrony between plants and sectors, with evidence against control plants.
Color, through plant-based pigments and antioxidants.
Targets

The 6 goals of the WOW Flowers Laboratory, one by one

Each objective is explained with four things: what it means, how the engine works it, what is worth noting in your logbook and where the honest limit lies. A real case activates 1 to 4 objectives at a time, not all of them: more objectives is not better, because they compete for the same plant resources.

01

Firm stem for cut flowers

What it is. A straight, thick, firm stem that holds the flower and withstands cutting, packing and transport.

Cómo lo trabajamos. Structural calcium and plant silicon, two functions that the engine rewards together (calcium 1.25, silicon 1.15). Example modules: T-22 (horsetail infusion, a source of plant silicon) and XB-10 (bioavailable calcium from a 72-hour maceration, designed for firm tissues).

What to write in your logbook. Stem length and thickness at cut, bent or broken stems, and a side photo each week of the same control plants.

Límite honesto. The maximum length is set by the variety and strongly by light and temperature: with too little light or too much heat, no formula makes up for it.

02

Flower size and impact

What it is. Flower diameter, number of petals or florets, and presence in the bouquet.

Cómo lo trabajamos. Flowering, pollen and fruit set is the function with the most weight (1.45). Example modules: F-17 (turbo flowering with sprouts and amaranth: cytokinins, gibberellins, phosphorus and zinc) and XB-08 (turbo-flower). The engine makes sure not everything is activated at maximum at once.

What to write in your logbook. Flower diameter measured with a ruler at the same cutting stage, compared against your control plants.

Límite honesto. Flower size and quantity compete for the same resources. Yolia does not promise you both at their maximum.

03

Intense, saturated color

What it is. Livelier, more even color, with less discoloration from radiation or heat.

Cómo lo trabajamos. Pigments and antioxidants have a weight of 1.30 in this specialty. Modules with that profile: F-13 (beetroot, turmeric, sprouts and radish leaves: antioxidants and free amino acids) and F-02 (soluble sugars, antioxidants and protective biofilm).

What to write in your logbook. Photos with the same light, background and distance every week, compared against the untreated control.

Límite honesto. The variety's color does not change. Excessive heat and radiation wear it down more than any formula improves it: shade and ventilation matter more. The Sandbox includes precisely a case of pale color with an even stem.

04

Uniform, synchronized flowering

What it is. So that all plants in the batch open within a short window, to cut evenly and fulfill orders.

Cómo lo trabajamos. The engine works by sectors and control plants. If a sector gets ahead or falls behind, it is analyzed separately and the general baseline is kept. Example module: XB-14 (chamomile and basil: reduces floral stress and prevents flower drop).

What to write in your logbook. Opening date per control plant and per sector; the difference between sectors is the data point.

Límite honesto. Synchrony depends on irrigation, light and photoperiod being even across the whole batch. If a sector has a different microclimate, the formula does not even it out.

05

Wind and rain resistance

What it is. So that the plant withstands gusts, downpours and high humidity without losing flowers or firmness, and recovers quickly.

Cómo lo trabajamos. Silicon and calcium (structure), defense and recovery. Example modules: XD-29 (chamomile and rosemary: reduces thermal and water stress during flowering), XD-27 (alfalfa and chard: chlorophyll, iron and resistance compounds) and XD-28 (parsley and celery: protective phenols). And, before anything else, the 7-day weather alerts.

What to write in your logbook. Flowers fallen or damaged after each event, firmness to the touch and time to recover vigor, in control and treated plants.

Límite honesto. Yolia cannot physically protect the crop: netting, windbreaks, covers and drainage are your management. If an alert is critical, the system holds back the field application.

06

Vase life

What it is. So that the cut flower keeps its turgidity and color for more days in the vase.

Cómo lo trabajamos. We work from the crop itself: tissue firmness, stable hydration, and cutting at the right stage within the harvest window. Further below we explain in detail what depends on us and what does not.

What to write in your logbook. Days until loss of turgor or petal drop, in treated flowers versus control flowers, with the same water and temperature.

Límite honesto. We do not promise a number of extra days. Vase water, cold, ethylene and handling weigh more than any formula.

Do you already know which goal you want to work on in Flores WOW?

How the engine decides

What the engine prioritizes when the case is WOW Flowers

When you choose WOW Flowers, the engine raises these functions before building your formula. These are the real weights it uses for cut flowers.

Function the engine reinforcesPriorityWhat it is for, in simple language
Flowering, pollen and fruit set1.45Supports flower formation, pollen quality and the flower developing well.
Pigments and antioxidants1.30Support for color and the antioxidant defense of tissues.
Calcio estructural1.25Firmer cell walls: stems, petals and fruits with better structure.
Sabor, aroma y metabolitos1.20Aroma and flavor quality: secondary compounds the plant makes when it has energy and minerals.
Silicio vegetal1.15Tissue structure and strength (for example, against wind and high humidity).
Defensa biológica preventiva0.95Gentle, preventive support; it does not replace sanitary management.

Priority is a real relative weight of the engine: above 1.00 the function is reinforced, below 1.00 it is kept gentle. It is not an improvement percentage or a promise of results.

And the stage of your plant changes what gets prioritized

Before mixing anything, the engine reads the stage you declare. That is why the same plant gets a different strategy when rooting than when flowering.

StageWhat drives the engineQué evita o bloquea
GerminationRaíz y pelos absorbentes, fósforo y zinc de semillas, nitrógeno de arranque moderadoExcesos de nitrógeno
Enraizamiento / trasplanteRoot (the highest priority of this stage), phosphorus and zinc, biosignalsOverloading with flower goals
VegetativeMagnesio y clorofila, verdes minerales, nitrógeno vegetativo controlado, balance carbono-nitrógenoEmpujar flor o fruto antes de tiempo
FloweringFlowering, pollen and fruit set (highest priority), phosphorus and zinc, calcium, gentle defenseNitrógeno vegetativo y de germinados: queda bloqueado
FruitingPotasio de cáscaras, soporte Brix, engorde, calcioNitrógeno vegetativo y de germinados: queda bloqueado
MaturationEngorde y firmeza, Brix, sabor y aroma, control de exceso de nitrógenoNitrógeno vegetativo y de germinados: queda bloqueado
The five species

Chrysanthemum, carnation, gerbera, lily and sunflower: each one calls for a different look

Yolia declares the species from the start of the case because each one is managed differently. What follows is what floriculture describes for each one; the engine uses your species to read the case, not to invent promises.

Chrysanthemum

Color y uniformidad

Bouquet and stem species. It is sold for uniform shape and color; it is usually managed with photoperiod control, so synchrony depends heavily on how you manage light.

Carnation

Tallo y etileno

Long-stemmed flower, prized for its vase life. It is described as ethylene-sensitive, so the cold chain and postharvest handling matter a great deal.

Gerbera

Cuello y humedad

Large, long-stemmed, leafless flower. It is common to watch the firmness of the flower neck and high humidity in the greenhouse; it is the species in the Sandbox wind and rain case.

Lily

Botón y corte

Large flower with several buds per stem. The cutting stage (closed bud showing color) and leaf health usually decide the commercial value.

Sunflower

Tallo y peso

Large-diameter flower on a tall stem. The stem must support a heavy flower head: calcium, silicon and wind protection are the central topics.

Measure what you promise

How to check each objective on your own batch

Yolia does not analyze photos to measure your flower. You can measure, and those measurements go into your logbook as evidence. What matters is always comparing against an untreated control plant.

Stem

Regla y foto lateral

Stem length and thickness at cut, and bent or broken stems per sector.

Size

Same-stage rule

Flower diameter always measured at the same opening point.

Color

Photo with the same light

Same background, same time and same distance, week after week, against the control plant.

Florero

Prueba lado a lado

Treated and control flowers in the same water and temperature; count the days until they lose turgor.

Climate

How climate factors into the WOW Flowers Laboratory

In cut flowers the climate weighs twice: during the cycle, because high heat and radiation wear down color and size, and at the moment of the event, because a gust of wind or heavy rain can throw away weeks of work. Yolia confirms your location, reads the 7-day forecast and the history, and evaluates your environment.

Condition the engine detectsUmbral realWhat functions it reinforces
Calor extremo y sequedadMaximum of 32 °C or more with little available waterElectrolytes and cellular hydration, drought defense, antioxidant pigments, radiation/PAR, root
Frío y riesgo de mínimaMínima de 8 °C o menosAnti-estrés antioxidante, carbohidratos fermentables, raíz, balance carbono-nitrógeno
Humedad alta y drenaje pobreHumidity of 78% or more with poor drainageDefensa contra exceso de humedad, defensa biológica, silicio, raíz
Low oxygenation in the rootLow or very low root oxygenationRaíz, defensa contra exceso de humedad, control de salinidad, silicio
Tierra pobreMateria orgánica de 2% o menosMicrobiología húmica, transporte mineral, raíz, proteína y aminoácidos
Salinidad altaWater conductivity of 1.4 mS/cm or moreControl de salinidad, vehículo de agua segura, transporte mineral
Indoor with limited lightIndoor growing with 250 µmol/m²/s of PAR light or lessMagnesio y clorofila, verdes minerales, balance carbono-nitrógeno
Greenhouse with heat and humidityGreenhouse with humidity of 75% or moreDefense against excess humidity, silicon, radiation management
Outdoors with windOutdoors with wind of 25 km/h or moreWind and evaporation, silicon, structural calcium, drought defense
High radiationPAR light of 900 µmol/m²/s or moreManagement of radiation, antioxidant pigments, electrolytes

These are the ten real contexts the engine evaluates. If your case meets one, those functions rise in priority; if it meets several, they are combined. If you do not declare a piece of data, the engine flags it as missing instead of inventing it.

What weighs most in WOW Flowers

Strong wind outdoors (25 km/h or more): adds silicon and calcium to support stem and flower.
Extreme heat with little water: reinforces cellular hydration and defense against drought.
Greenhouse with humidity of 75% or more: adds moisture-excess defense and silicon.
High radiation (900 or more): adds light, pigment and electrolyte management to protect color.
Alerts for heavy rain, storm or strong wind in the final stretch: they can trigger the emergency cut notice.

Alertas de clima reales (pronóstico de 7 días)

Thunderstorm or hailstorm (according to the forecast)
Frost risk: temperatura de 1.5 °C o menos fuera de interior
Intense heat in open field: 35 °C or more
Possible greenhouse overheating (estimate of 36 °C or more; must be verified with a sensor)
Strong wind gusts: 50 km/h or more outdoors
Likely heavy rain: 10 mm or more with a probability of 60% or more
Possible pot heating: 30 °C or more with high radiation
Indoor condensation risk, based on your last saved measurement

What Yolia does with an alert. If there is an alert crítica, the system holds back the field application. If it is high, requires a balanced review and lowers the boost mode to “balanced”. The forecast comes from Open-Meteo (7 days, hourly) and the multi-year climate history of your location; a location confirmed on the map is needed for this to work.

Ventana de cosecha y corte de emergencia. Yolia calculates a theoretical date of the optimal point according to the real progress of your program and, depending on the destination (local, national or export), suggests cutting 0, 2 or 5 days earlier. If a serious alert (frost, storm, heavy rain, strong wind) falls on the final stretch, it recommends bringing the cut forward. Límite honesto: it is a calendar-based estimate, not a reading of your plant; Yolia does not yet analyze photos to decide the harvest point.

For an outdoor lot the 7-day forecast is part of the decision: if a strong event is coming, the system prefers to protect and compare against control plants before pushing flowering.

Your climate changes your formula. See the plans and start with your location.

Vase life

Cuántos días aguanta la flor: qué depende de nosotros y qué no

Vase life is decided in large part after the flower leaves your batch: water, temperature, vase hygiene, stem handling and, depending on the species, ethylene. That is why you will never see here a promise like “+5 days in the vase”.

From the crop side, floriculture recognizes that tissue firmness, water status and cutting stage have an influence. In Yolia “vase life” is a declared objective that is compared against your controls, not a promised number.

What determines days in the vase

Variedad y su genética.
Estadio al corte.
Temperatura y frío entre corte y venta.
Quality and cleanliness of the vase water.
Sensibilidad al etileno de la especie.
Wounds and stem handling.

Where Yolia can indeed help

Firmeza de tejidos: calcio y silicio.
Stable hydration of the plant.
Ventana de cosecha y corte de emergencia ante clima.
Compare it against control plants in your logbook.

What Yolia does not control

La cadena de frío.
The water and treatment in the vase.
Transport and handling.
La genética de la variedad.
Promise you a number of extra days.

If someone promises you “X more days in the vase” without comparing against a control plant of your own, be wary. What we can give you is the method to check it in your own batch, with your own flowers and your own water.

How the modules are mixed

A schedule of 8 phases, not a single mix

A Yolia module is a unit of plant biochemistry: a controlled process (fermentation, infusion or extraction) with declared ingredients, times, pH and yield. The engine chooses modules from a catalog organized into four product families, measures how much load each phase can bear and places them at the right physiological moment. If two modules clash, they are not removed: they are separated into different phases.

1

Hour 0 · Bioactivation, signaling and transport

Prepares uptake, membranes, signaling and internal circulation. Root or foliar route depending on the module.

2

Hour 12 · Root, soil, water and oxygenation

Improves root, rhizosphere, water, aeration and availability. Root pathway.

3

Hour 24 · Núcleo madre: Biokit y pulso nutricional

Entrega energía, proteína, minerales y la base funcional fuerte. Vía radicular.

4

Hour 36 · Vegetative and structural specialization

Crecimiento, clorofila, tallo y arquitectura. Vía radicular o foliar.

5

Hour 48 · Flower, fruit and quality specialization

Directs resources to flowering, fruit set, fruit, aroma, color, and firmness.

6

Hour 60 · Defense and adaptation

Buffers against heat, cold, drought, humidity, wind, radiation and salinity.

7

Hour 72 · Reinforcement, replenishment and reserve mobilization

Replenishes, mobilizes reserves and sustains the plant's response.

8

Hour 96 · Conditional or separate correction

It is applied only when the condition or a measurement triggers it.

Reglas de compatibilidad reales

Strong nitrogen is blocked during flowering, fruiting, and ripening, unless a specialist reviews it.
Acidic and alkaline modules are prepared and diluted separately; their concentrates are never mixed.
Calcium and phosphate are kept in separate preparations until the final dilution, to reduce the risk of precipitation.
Retention and biofilm are blocked when there is waterlogging or severe low oxygenation at the root.
Two modules that should not go together but both add value are split into separate phases, at least 24 hours apart, instead of dropping one.
There are recognized synergies that the engine rewards: calcium with silicon, root with phosphorus and zinc, potassium with Brix, biosignals with amino acids, microbiology with mineral transport.

Límites de carga

Each phase has a maximum capacity; if a module exceeds it, it does not enter that phase.
In stress contexts (heat, cold, wind, humidity…), the capacity of each phase drops to as low as 28%.
The engine measures the risk of waste and saturation and keeps them below 92% saturation.
Goals active at once are limited to 3 or 4 (fewer on conservative routes).

Real examples of modules the engine can use in WOW Flowers

They are real modules from the catalog. Which one is chosen in your case, in what phase and in what quantity depends on your plant, your stage, your climate and your logbook; the exact quantities are only shown in your formula, not on this page or in the Sandbox.

Logbook and evidence

Your logbook is what allows the formula to be adjusted

Without evidence, the system cannot correct anything: that is why the logbook is not decoration. You record notes and photos throughout the program and follow a few control plants —a representative group that you observe closely— to compare against the rest. With 1 plant, that whole plant is followed; up to 4 plants, all are followed; from 5 to 20, 3 are followed; from 21 to 500, 5; and from 501 to 5,000, 10.

Qué conviene anotar

Stem length and thickness on the same control plants.
Flower diameter at the same opening stage.
Weekly photo with the same light and distance.
Opening date per plant and per sector.
Each wind, rain or heat event: date, intensity and observed damage.
Vase test: days until turgidity is lost, treated versus control plants.
Vigor de 1 a 5 y síntomas.
Date of each application: phase and module.

The program has real milestones

Day 0: expediente y alcance confirmados.
Day 3: evidencia inicial y plantas de seguimiento.
Day: fórmula o estrategia científica inicial (en Diagnóstico, diagnóstico y ruta recomendada).
Between day 7 and 14: first response review.
Up to day 21: recalibration, if your plan includes it and the evidence justifies it.
At the end: cierre honesto del caso con un resultado declarado.

Recalibration, no silent changes. When it is recalibrated, all 21 engines are run again in full with your new evidence. The previous formula is never deleted and each change leaves a visible event that you can consult. There is a manual recalibration, an automatic notice (when uploading a note, it only recommends and requires at least 14 days since the last adjustment) and, only in Resin & Trichomes Lab, an automatic recalibration with a verified photo. The plans include 0 (Diagnosis), 1 (Targeted formula) or 3 (Advanced laboratory); an additional one requires a new quote.

Noting each weather event with its date is what helps most with recalibrating: without that data the system cannot tell a formula that failed from a gust of wind that knocked down the flowers.

Un caso real, paso a paso

A burst of wind and rain damaged the foliage and some flowers lost firmness

This is one of the real Sandbox cases: 400 gerbera plants in Ecuador, in 2 sectors, flowering and at high risk. The Sandbox uses the same engine, but never shows ingredients or doses.

1

Step 1 · Weather event

The gust of wind and rain arrives; it is recorded which sector and which plants were affected.

2

Step 2 · Alert

The system cross-checks the event against the 7-day forecast and checks for additional risk.

3

Step 3 · Protection

Priority goes to protecting flowering and structure before pushing more goals.

4

Step 4 · Logbook

Photos, firmness and fallen flowers are recorded, compared against the control plants.

5

Step 5 · Recovery

The response is evaluated with the new evidence and, if needed, recalibrated.

6

Step 6 · Closure

The case closes with a stated result.

A burst of wind and rain damaged part of the foliage and some flowers lost firmness. What would the system do?

The safe choice

Protect, compare against control plants and request new evidence

It's the one the Sandbox marks as safe: don't push more goals onto a damaged plant, and decide with new evidence.

Sobrecarga

Increasing all goals without reviewing

Loading the plant with everything at once right after the shock. The engine advises against it.

Uncertainty

Continue without evidence

Carrying on as if nothing happened. The system asks for evidence before moving forward.

The lesson: after a weather shock, you first protect and measure, and only then adjust. The Sandbox also has a case of pale color in chrysanthemum (Colombia) and a commercial one of 2,000 plants in 4 sectors (the Netherlands).

Verdad completa

What we can do and what we will never promise

This section exists for a reason: we would rather you not sign up than sign up expecting something we cannot deliver.

What we do

Raise the priority of flowering, pigments, calcium and silicon when you choose cut flowers.
Read the 7-day forecast and hold the field application during a critical alert.
Calculate a harvest window and warn of an emergency cut due to weather.
Building an 8-phase program and separating what must not be mixed.
Work by sectors and control plants, and recalibrate while keeping everything recorded.
Give you the step-by-step preparation with times, temperature, and target pH.

What we do not do or promise

Physically protect the crop: netting, windbreaks, covers and drainage are your management.
Measuring stem, flower color or flower size: it does not analyze photos for that.
Guarantee color, size or vase days.
Cambiar la genética de la variedad ni su fotoperíodo.
Control the cold chain, the vase water or the transport.
Promise results on a given date: each formula is marked as a prototype on the way to full experimental validation.
Pros y contras

Pros and cons of WOW Flowers Lab, no sugarcoating

A favor

Priorities designed for cut flowers: flowering, pigments, calcium and silicon.
7-day weather reading and holding the application during critical alerts.
Work by sectors and control plants, useful in commercial lots.
It teaches you to verify each goal with your own measurements.
Evidence with control plants and transparent recalibration: the previous version is never deleted.
Three real cases to try for free in the Sandbox with the same engine.
The price drops with fewer plants.

En contra o a considerar

It measures nothing for you: you need a ruler, photos and your control plants.
It's a prototype: it doesn't have full experimental validation yet.
Requiere preparar fermentos de 50 a 72 horas y llevar bitácora.
It does not replace the management of light, photoperiod, drainage and postharvest.
The included recalibrations are limited (0, 1 or 3 depending on the plan).
It's a one-time payment for the whole program: there are no monthly fees, but the total depends on how many days it lasts (more days, more to pay).

Compared with the rest of the world

A floriculture advisor or a commercial nutrition program may have years of trials and guaranteed analysis; Yolia does not have that yet. What it does offer, and you can verify for free in the Sandbox, is a system that reads your climate, prioritizes structure and flowering, works by sectors and leaves evidence you can audit. We do not compare Yolia against other brands because we do not have independent tests to do so.

If, after reading all this, it makes sense to you, the next step is to choose a tier.

One-time payment per program, processed by Stripe, with no automatic renewal. The large price is the one for 1 plant (the lowest); with more plants the price rises according to each card's list, and with each additional goal $2 USD is added to the one-time payment before the scope factor. Every Yolia formula is honestly marked as a prototype, still on its way to full experimental validation.
